Fantom GForce/3 external drive not migrated but working properly

    Windows 10 OS Build 19041.867

I just set up my third Fantom drive. My first two were a snap to set up, just basic plug n play and Boom there they were ready to be used.

This new unit, 10 TB doesn't have a Safely Remove button appear. In its properties, Device Manager says "This device is working properly." So the unit is listed there and elsewhere, and I've tested using it in several ways - storing things, setting up two different kinds of video projects on it, and the Fantom behaves as expected. No problems.

BUT on its properties tab under Events, it says Device not migrated, Present: False, and Status 0xC0000719.

For two days I've Googled and found many listings for all those apparent error messages, but I haven't found any advice on fixes that work.

SO - I don't get it. The storage drive works, it's labeled Healthy in Disk Management - and yet it's not fully recognized by the computer so doesn't have the Safely Remove option, as mentioned.

Advice? Since it's functioning as expected, do I need to worry that it was somehow never fully installed--?

    Welcome to the Forum

I can see on Fantom drives site that there are many products from the brand.
You didn't mentioned witch one you have and asking for advice. How can you expect us to help you?
As it is a Fantom drive product and it is still under warranty, I recommend you to contact their support

Thanks much for replying, Megahertz. I have the particular drive listed in my post's subject line: Gforce/3 10 TB. I think that's the full info on which Fantom unit it is. Any ideas about what's going on with it? Thanks again.

---I'm trying to post this reply, but keep getting the warning message that it's too short - adding this PS should make it acceptable I hope?---- No - I even pasted the original subject line again in the Title box for this reply. I still have the reply it's 3 characters too short-?? What the...?

You didn't give the specs: GFORCE 3 Pro External Hard Drive 7200RPM
    - USB 3.2 Gen 1
    or
    - eSATA
    or
    - FireWire 400 or 800

Thanks for your new reply, Megahertz. The Gforce/3 has all the capabilities you listed. I have it connected to my laptop via eSATA. I think my question is generic, however, and would apply to any external hard drive. - I'm perplexed that there's the message the drive hasn't "migrated," and online I see people very concerned that this should be fixed. But Device Manager says it's operating properly, and it's been working fine for me. What I'm hoping to find out is if I need to worry about this migration issue, and that the Safely Remove icon isn't available since the computer doesn't "officially" see the drive. Or should I just move on and keep using it as-is?

    Any ideas?

Thanks again, Megahertz. I did contact Fantom a few days ago and am waiting for a reply. I posted my question here as this is a Windows 10 Forum about using hardware and I thought someone here would be familiar with this "not migrated issue" when setting up an external drive.

I understood you don't know the answer to my general question. But I need to know if I should be concerned about "not migrated" and the lack of a Safely Remove icon since the drive is functioning as expected and is said to be "working properly. These are W10 warnings that I'm trying to get more information about.

Maybe someone else here will see the question and have some familiarity with the problem?
