"Your camera and microphone are blocked"

Win 10 desktop, latest update (20H2 Build 19042.867, KB5000802), Logitech Webcam 510. This morning for a meeting, one I've had many times before, I got a "Your camera and microphone are blocked" with doxy.me. I could hear and see them, but not the reverse. Tried iPad (wi-fi) and other party said I was still blocked. In Opera browser (desktop), looking at the doxy.me screen under Settings > Privacy and Security, things look ok to me (see screenshot). In Windows Settings, it shows "Camera access for this device is on," as are "Allow apps to access your camera" and "Allow desktop apps to access your camera." Doxy.me is not in the list -- Zoom and Webex are -- but the instructions say some apps aren't listed.

Any ideas? I'm not sure where else to look? Could the latest Win 10 update have caused this, as it has other kinds of problems (not for me). I haven't had this problem before with joining many meetings using doxy, Zoom or Webex. Thanks,

I suggest you clear data and if that does not work - reset permissions

Reset Chrome Permissions | Doxy.me Help Center
Appreciate that is Chrome, but cannot find specifics for Opera.

Maybe you will get help from your post on Opera forums

I have NO knowledge whatsoever of Doxy.me
I see camera access is a common problem with the app

Perhaps a reinstall of that may help.
I think the 1000$ question is - have you tried it in Edge

You may not like Edge, although I do, but I suspect Opera
    Opera Browser

    VPN ?

Thanks. No VPN. doxy.me is not a download. I did use doxy's cue to try to get unblocked, but that didn't clear it. Browser is not a matter of principle, just that I'd never had a problem with Opera and doxy.me (or Zoom or Webex) before. Plus, if it wasn't being seen in Safari on the iPad Mini 2, then browser probably isn't the issued. After posting here, I decided to also post on the Opera forum and also MS Answer forums, just in case it's their problem, given what's happened with the latest substantive update. I'll wait for other answers before proceeding with your suggestions.

Have you had a look at this? => Allow Access to Camera in Windows 10

    I hope this helps.

doxy.me sign ups are for providers and thus those fixes from within their site are not accessible to me. I did use the link on the doxy connection screen to try to unblock me, but it wasn't able to. That tells me that there's something on my computer in the way.

    Hello @highstream,

You could see if it could possibly be a corruption in the OS for example. Please perform the following . . .

     SFC and RestoreHealth

[1] Press the Win + X keys together > Command Prompt (Admin).
[2] Highlight ALL the commands below.

    IMPORTANT:

    • It is recommended when running SFC that Fast Startup is turned OFF [ Turn it back ON when finished ] => How to Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10

    • If SFC finds any ERRORS that it can NOT repair, run SFC again upto 3 more times, Restarting after each to allow any pending actions to be implemented.

    • DISM will initially try and Repair ANY Corrupted or Missing files using the Component Store.
If this is NOT possible, DISM will use Windows Update. Therefore, Internet access is required.
If you are NOT connected to the Internet, you will receive a Error: 0x800f081f.

[3] Press the Ctrl + C keys together.
[4] Right-click inside the Administrator: Command Prompt Window > Paste.
    [5] Press Enter.

    Code:

    sfc /scannow
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    sfc /scannow

    • When the above has finished processing . . .

[6] Right-click on the title bar of the Administrator: Command Prompt Window > Edit > Select All.
[7] Right-click on the title bar of the Administrator: Command Prompt Window again > Edit > Copy.

    • Paste the results into your post using the [CODE] tags . . .

[8] In your post, click the Hashtag icon #.
[9] Click INSIDE the [CODE]Here[CODE] tags and press the Ctrl + V keys together.

    • In your post it will look like this . . .

    Code:

    <<< Results here >>>

     SFC Error Report

However, if there are STILL SFC ERRORS . . .

[1] Press the Win + X keys together > Command Prompt (Admin).
    [2] Highlight the command below.

    NOTE:

If you have a Relocated Desktop, then change the %UserProfile% part of the Command below to the actual path of the Relocated Desktop folder.

[3] Press the Ctrl + C keys together.
[4] Right-click inside the Administrator: Command Prompt Window > Paste.
    [5] Press Enter.

    Code:

    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log > "%UserProfile%\Desktop\SFC_Details.log"

    • This will create a SFC_Details.log file on the Desktop.

    EITHER:

Copy & Paste the results into your post using the [CODE] tags . . .

[1] Open the SFC_Details.log file in Notepad.
[2] Press the Ctrl + A keys together.
[3] Press the Ctrl + C keys together.
[4] In your post, click the Hashtag icon #.
[5] Click INSIDE the [CODE]Here[CODE] tags and press the Ctrl + V keys together.

    • In your post it will look like this . . .

    Code:

    <<< Results Here >>>

    OR:

UPLOAD the file => How to Upload and Post Screenshots and Files at Ten Forums.

    I hope this helps.

I don't use Opera but you might need to change the site's permission by clicking on the lock icon in the address bar? Thisis on Edge for example,

Thanks. Camera and Microphone Permissions at doxy.me are (already) Allow in Opera and Edge.

In Command Prompt (Admin), I copies in the three lines shown, but only the sfc line showed, though it seems to have run DISM too. Since there were no errors found, to keep it simple...

Is it possible that the problem is on their end?
