Computer going to BIOS instead to boot (no always)

My computer is a brand new i5-10400 with 8GB RAM and a Gigabyte mobo. It has not more than 2 months it was assembled. Since a month ago once in a while (say once every 3 days) when I turn it on by the morning instead to proceed directly to the boot it enters the BIOS setup (but without any message error). It just goes to the BIOS screen and stays there staring at me. Then it is just to choose "Exit without saving" and restart that it goes OK to the boot and load Windows.

Could it be an intermittent bad contact in some cabling causing it to momentarily not recognize the boot disk? This is the only thing that came to my mind since the disk recognizition happens automatically along the boot.

    Ideas?

Could also be a sticking F2 or Delete key.

A lot of times (even w/o a message) a computer gets shut down improperly. This can cause it to enter the BIOS, on reboot or startup.
Things that count as improper shutdowns...

    Power failure
Restarting the computer with the Reset button on the case
Turning the computer off with the power switch on the case.

It could be but I doubt it. I don't use those crappy cheapo keyboards, instead it's a mechanical one (although this is not a sign of impossibility). I will observe. I realized that once in a while this keyboard has done a weird failure that is to double my typing in some letters. For instace I type 'u' and it outputs 'uu' and so on. There is some time that it doesn't happen though. It's one of those keyboards with backlight and looking to it I can see a LOT of dust and crap under the keys. Maybe I should give it a good clean up.

Some times I am forced to do such nasty things but in all the occasions that it entered the BIOS it was not related to one of those events. I turned my computer off smoothly earlier yesterday around noon and didn't use it so far so no hard turn off. It stayed resting for all those hours and when I turned it on this morning it went into the BIOS. I am sure that there was not a power failure and if it was it wouldn't be a problem because my PC is plugged to a 90 minutes UPS and in this case I would know because when it's active my UPS produces an annoying beeping loud enough to wake me up in my bedroom (50 feet away from my office) even with doors closed and every time it happens I HAVE to get up and go turn it off to get some peace and silence! LOL! So no outtage also!

Well, I keep observing! Thanks for the contribution!

Does this behavior only happen on a cold start (from full off), or does it ever happen on a restart?

    One idea:
Check your CPU fan speed in BIOS. Sometimes, when starting on a cold start the CPU fan is not spinning at the minimum speed set in the BIOS. If this happens the PC will not startup Windows but go directly into BIOS.
However, I recall there would be a message alerting that it was a fan failure. If you don't get one it might not be that.

    Another idea:
Your boot drive is not being recognized by BIOS in time.
Is there anything about your configuration that might suggest this?

Always on cold boot, no exceptions. But I never get any alert regarding to it.

Nothing in configuration but I am suspecting that maybe a bad cable could cause this?

Yes, bad cable, failing hard drive, motherboard problem - all could be possible if it is caused by the boot drive not being recognized.

I will keep an eye on it.

I hope not as it is a brand new one (although the possibility cannot be discarded).

Start with trying a new cable. Then maybe borrow another keyboard to test with. Try and eliminate those two possibilities first.
