nForce 630i SATA AHCI mode - Cannot use MSAHCI driver

System is Packard Bell Imedia S3720 with the infamous nForce 630i chipset. I don't know why but I cannot use MSAHCI driver. Computer enters a loop and doesn't work well. With SATA nForce driver it works but it seems unstable at best (and also trim function dissappeared from Defragmenter).

    Any ideas?

IDE mode in bios works perfectly but I have an SSD.

I'm pretty sure that with a chipset that old... you will have to use IDE mode.
It's been a while but I seem to remember that with those chipsets, they were very picky about whether it was set to IDE or AHCI... WHEN the OS was installed.

I am staying with ancient nVidia SATA driver for now. I will check if there is some way to recover trim feature.

I have read on Fernando's WinRaid Forum that it's better to run SATA controller on standard IDE mode for TRIM to work. I will try that even if ncq isn't available.

This is the same as Ghot suggested. Thanks Ghot.
