    No BATTERY REPORT problem, again

I had this problem 5 years ago and here I am again with a new PC, new version of W10, and the same old problem. I cannot get a useful Report on my battery's performance from Windows (powercfg /batteryreport.) There is a (chocolate teapot) Report but with out any data. And again I cannot get Battery Care from Softpedia (.Download BatteryCare 0.9.36.0). I gave up on Norton and Malwarebytes partly because of the way they block desirable downloads, as PUPS, though I know they mean well. Now I find Windows Security blocking the Softpedia download in the same way, despite being told to allow it,

For share links please use one drive drop box or google drive.

    Run:
Get_Powercfg_info.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

LOGS.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

    Hello @clayto,

Type the following command into a Command Prompt and press Enter. What is NOT included in the output that you want? . . .

    Code:

    powercfg -BatteryReport > "%UserProfile%\Desktop\Bat_Rep.log"

It will output a Bat_Rep.log file on your Desktop. If you have a re-located Desktop then change the Path above.

    I hope this helps.

That appears to be normal for a newly installed Windows, it takes a long time before enough meaningful statistics have been gathered, several months at least. This is a battery report made a month after a clean install.....

...and this is the same machine today, more than a year later.

    FYI:

I get this when I try to download the setup file:

    No BATTERY REPORT problem, again-batterycare-download-starting.jpg

    VirusTotal

    Installer (setup) file detections:

    No BATTERY REPORT problem, again-setup.jpg

The portable version doesn't get quarantined though. I'm not using Windows Defender.

    Portable version detections:

    No BATTERY REPORT problem, again-batterycare.jpg

However it's unsigned so your security software might not like it.

    Portable version:

    h**ps://batterycare.net/files/BatteryCarePortable.zip

BatteryCare .dll blocked | Norton Community

If you want the program try the portable version as it doesn't seem to come bundled with anything.

Thanks. I understand now about a new PC not showing a battery history ---- I was trying it on a PC only a couple of months old before using it on a much older one with a failing battery. As for Battery Care I tried the mobile version with the same result. Afterwards I remembered trying it years ago only to find it blocked then, but had forgotten that. It is a pity as it seems quite good, with more features than most.
