it is not clear from your MiniTool screenshot whether you are using Partition Wizard or Power Data Recovery. Anyway, run the Partition Recovery Wizard in it and check whether it shows your partition. Post a screenshot of the Partitions found window that comes up at the end of the scan

Ok, I am a bit confused, when I tried to run recovery, it said I had to UNLOCK features and would go no further. I will post screen shots if you need them

You will need an older version of the free Minitool to run the recovery. I've downloaded and scanned from here and it's ok. Download MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition 9.1 for windows - Filepuma.com

Please wait for @jumanji to confirm.

    Hi @netrate,

You are not following the instructions.

If you are using the latest version of Partition Wizard . you cannot recover partitions, for Partition recovery is not free. I only wanted you run Partition Recovery Wizard, scan the drive and post a screenshot of Partitions found Window

Launch Partition Wizard. On the left Pane click on Partition Recovery Wizard > Next > Select your faulty Drive > Next > Full Disk > Next > QuickScan> Next. Allow the quick scan to complete. At the end of the quickscan you will get a window showing all the found partitions Post a screenshot of it ( only that Window. No need of any background). After you have taken the screenshot, click on Cancel button on that Window and close PW.

Aim is to see whether it finds any partition and it shows it as existing or lost.

Only if it shows as "lost", we will proceed further with PW to recover.. You will then be required to download the old version 9.1 in which Partition Recovery is free.

If it shows the partition as "existing", we shall dump PW and use TestDisk to repair the file system corruption.

Warning: If you try to use TestDisk on your own, let me tell you , that you will be lost. ( I have to put this warning since you are going beyond what you have been told to do)

    Sample screenshot:

Whichever version of PW you are using go upto this and post the screenshot showing the found partitions.. After taking the screenshot close PW. ( If the partition status shows as "existing" , no need for Partition Recovery)

OK, fine. The partition is lost. Uninstall the current version of Partition Wizard and install Partition Wizard Free v9.1.
Download MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition 9.1 for windows - Filepuma.com

Run Partition Recovery Wizard and when you reach the Partition found Window

USB drive - want to be formatted-image.png

After giving a drive letter you have to click on Apply again for the process to complete.

Post a screenshot of how your flash drive looks like in PW and let me know whether you are able to access the flash drive and access the data

Using 9.1 Quick Scan is taking quite a long time. Is this normal? In the other version, quick scan took 1 second to get to the FAT32 page.

And nothing comes up for the drive using this method.

I ran the full scan (instead of quick) and the same result. Nothing.

That is strange and surprising. I didn't expect this.

Do you have a FAT32 formatted flash drive or any flash drive? Plug it in. And run quick scan. Post the partitions found window screenshot.

    Let us see the results.

I ran a quick scan on my FAT32 Sandisk with PW9.1. This is the result
