Considering the typical price (around $280US), I'd be tempted to try a used one from eBay. More like $50, although some have separate power supplies.

I retired my Zip100 cartridges years ago, and erased them. Using an 8lb sledgehammer. (Not worth the trouble to overwrite them.)
