    Hello George,
I would recommend you use Macrium Reflect to make backups - Windows native backup is no longer supported or recommended by M$$. I posted the tutorial link earlier in this thread, so take a look at it.

The free MR version supports differential images and I believe it can be configured to make room by deleting old backups if necessary: Macrium Software | Product Comparision

You should create a new thread for the Outlook question.

OK, thank you, Steve, I will take a look at MR, I did not do that earlier as the priority was on the USB.
If we make a new tread, can I still work with you?

I will always try to help you my friend, but depending on the subject, other gurus might be more knowledgeable and I provide better advice.

If it is OK, I will keep the tread open for a while, just in case there is "more" in the USB pipe line...

I took a look at MR and also read an article written by the Swedish computer magazine, "PC-Tidningen". An excellent program, complicated to install and operate by users with limited knowledge about computers and program. Covers the needs for most users, is the magazine's conclusion. I also noticed that incremental back-up was not a part of the free version. So I have to buy a license if I go for MR. But because of all kinds of fraud risks involved with internet purchases, I am reluctant to do that. I have a couple of options to look at first.

For information, I would personally stay clear of the Windows Built-In Imaging & Backup option. Reasons given if required.

    George,
Yes, you can keep the thread open. Most of us here use Macrium Reflect. There are videos that you can watch on YouTube in addition to the website tutorials here.

    Hello Paul,
Thank you for your input. Yes, absolutely helpful. No doubt it will cover my needs for back-up. Just the two question marks I mentioned - incremental back-up and purchase on Internet.. Thanks again.

Thanks, Steve. I will seriously consider MR. I just don't like to use my credit card on Internet these days. In Sweden I order food, medicines and many other things on the web and use the Klarna payment service. They send me an invoice on e-mail. A safe way of using a web shop. An other option is PayPal, but I have very bad experience with them...
