USB-connected SSD disappeared from explorer

Thanks, Steve. If it does not require mor than 1 GB I think I have some old sticks I could probably use. But as USB memory is cheap these days a new one is not an obstacle and of course better/safer for this important task.

No, I did not try your suggestion yet because when I read the guide again there was something that I did not quite understand. But eventually I guess I will do that if there is no other way. I tried with the Disk Management to both change the letters and to delete the disk, but there was different warnings about doing that. But Crystal Diskinfo does not see the ghost...

Yes, I am also going to buy new mice for my wife and me and the best price is on Amazon. I want to buy Logitech's trackball because I get pain in my arms and shoulders from working with a normal mouse which requires moving hand and arm. With the trackball I only use the thumb.

I switched to trackball years ago due to the same issues you described - no pains after that.

No harm trying your old thumb drives - most likely they will work just fine.

OK, never mind about that for now, it is not a critical issue.

But coming back to the diskpart, I am just wondering if I with all Windows 10 updates installed since the fix was released can have this problem with my Windows 10 installation. I am not smart enough to be the judge of that, but what do you think, Steve?
