Hi Steve. Yes, thank you, so far so good..

I believe my answer to your question about how I got the virus - if it was a virus - got lost yesterday as I think I was on the wrong page when i sent it. I was also sending a warning signal I got from PC-Tidningen about scammers trying to have users update Flash Player. Pop-ups appear on the screen with this message which is a warning to everybody as Flash Player no longer exists. Therefore everybody who has the program should delete it as it is a potential serious threat.

No, I don't really don't know what happened as I was not on the PC at the moment. I was searching the web for a power tool to replace a broken one and I went to the garage to get the specs from the old tool. When I came back I had the message on the screen that access to the PC was blocked due to risk for virus. There was also a fake phone number to call for service help...

But if it was I dangerous virus I doubt that I could have opened the PC again the way I did...

Thanks for those details George. The internet can be a frightening place sometimes. I've been on some strange sites before where it feels like they're trying to take over my browser - then I just started shutting down tabs and trying to exit the site as soon as possible.

I have never experienced just that, but there are many dangerous traps which are easy to fall into if the focus is not always sharp on what we are doing. And all criminal efforts from smart scammers who are always a step ahead of everyone else is also something we have to keep in mind when we are out there. That is why I try to avoid using my credit car on the web as much as possible. Always somebody who try to steal your money if you are not alert and suspicious.

    George,
Was words. One of my favorite tools is that my credit card allows me to create a temporary disposable credit card numbers with dollar limits, so if I'm ordering something online, I will use one of these disposable credit card numbers and put the minimum dollar limit on it for the purchase I'm making.

Once the merchant charges that amount, they can charge no further - the charge gets declined by the credit card company. Of course this disposable number charge gets charged to my main credit card number by my credit card company, so no free money here - just protection for me to now worry about my main number getting into the wrong hands as the merchant won't have that number.

I hope you could follow that and maybe you could check with your friends, family, credit card provider if such a feature is available over there for you - if you're interested of course

Having this feature gives me a huge peace of mind when making online transactions without worry.

Than you, Steve, this was very interesting and useful information. I use Visa and Master Card and I will check with the banks if this is an available option in Sweden as well.

In my case, the one MC card I have has this feature and others I have don't - the CC companies should just offer this feature standard to everyone on all CCs to help cut down on fraud.

I totally agree with you on that. It is just that are very reluctant to implement changes as long as they don't suffer from loss. Most of the time they find an argument to blame the user...

Yes, Mr Tomcat, it is still there if you mean the USB drive. I just checked.
No, George, was on another issue, which has been corrected. Glad your USB is ok!

Steve. I am coming back to Macrium Reflect. I indicated earlier that I wanted to do incremental back-up, but after reading about the different ways of doing back-ups I think what I ment was differential back-up...

But how does that actually work? I would like to start with a complete copy of C (my internal SSD) and next time add all file changes and new files, even new programs. Is that possible with MR?

Does MR also copy all installed programs from the beginning so that I could practically wipe C and reinstall everything (programs ad files)? I guess I could read about all this on the web if the question is outside the original topic.
