Computer internals makes random faint noises sometimes.

Occasionally I'll hear whining or buzzing noises. whenever there is activity on my SSD.. or inactivity on some other hardware part like CPU or GPU.

Sometimes i'll hear a faint noise when my computer is idle and nothing is using the graphics card. or very low power draw.

Any idea why I would hear any noises from an SSD?

they are 2 small laptop size SSD drives. fairly cheap. one 256GB and one 128GB SSD

I'm using a desktop computer. my computer is sitting on its side on my desk underneath my computer monitor. using my computer as a way to move my computer monitor higher up a few inches.

My room is very very quiet. and the noises coming from my computer are not loud by any means. just enough to be audible.
its somewhat distracting and makes me annoyed when I can hear my computer doing stuff sometimes with nothing obvious happening on screen. sometimes i'll even get a spinning loading cursor icon flickering next to my mouse or something.
and somewhat paranoid that my computer has a mind of its own.

Is there any way I can stop it from making weird noises? should I just put my computer under my desk on the floor or something instead of right in front of me? and use some other object to raise my monitor up instead?
only problem doing that is it makes it more inconvenient to turn my computer on and off.

Nope. my computers feet are on the wide/flat side. its meant to be this way. the hard drive would be layed flat

There is no mechanical drives in the computer. only SSD's.

I forgot to post my specs so here they are.
i7 3770k processor stock
32GB ram
GTX 1650 LP 4GB OC
SSD's 256GB and 128GB.

HP motherboard. not custom. really cheap thing.

power supply is upgraded with a more beefy 430W thermaltake smart power supply. with an adapter.
it doesnt fit in the case because its too tall and large. completely impossible. so its just sitting on the back of my desk on its end..
I dont hear any noise coming from the power supply. its absolutely silent.

Theres no fan noise really in my computer. its very very quiet. only hear graphics card fan and its pretty quiet to begin with.

I only hear the noises when my computer is just sitting not doing anything like playing games. even a youtube video of someone talking will be enough to cover up the noise.

I also have an external USB 3.0 2TB hard drive attached to USB 3.0 port. but its silent i dont hear any noise from it. so its not coming from that.

My computer doesnt have feet on the long ends. cant stand it up on its edge.
it has some foam isolation pads on its wide flat side in the 4 corners so I dont hear any vibrations from it on the table.

I'm curious as to what the PC is. It's obviously not "My Computer". What are you using for a case, that it doesn't support what I assume is a standard ATX PSU?

I dunno what the issue might be. Fan noise? Coil whine? I doubt that it indicates areal problem.

its not standard ATX. so theres no way a standard ATX power supply would fit in it.

it has the stock motherboard in it also.

Right. I would have preferred to replace the case, but it's not clear that the motherboard is of a standard format.

I didn't think that it was. I was just expressing my prejudices. (I dislike kludgy solutions, even if they work well and save money.)
