I'm looking to find out which one of my internal drives is attached to SATA6G_2 connector without having to open the tower for inspection.
Is there any software capable of providing me with this information?

Not exactly the nomenclature I was looking for... I was hoping to find something that would specifically say "SATA6G_2 " as I am trying to hunt down the HDD that is using it.

In your motherboard manual, under "Internal Connectors", it will tell you how the SATA ports are numbered.
Then the bottom half of Disk Management will tell you the order of the drives, aka Disk 0, Disk 1, Disk 2 etc.
If I knew your motherboard make/model and had a screenshot of Disk Management, I could probably tell you.

This would make sense since right after installing a new NVME in the M.2 slot that shares bandwidth with SATA6G_2, this happens to be the drive that had dissappeared.... until I rebooted once or twice.

YES. The only time this gets messed up, is if you have an optical drive in there somewhere.
Like I have an optical drive on SATA6G_1, but Disk Management still shows my 500GB SSD as Disk 0.
So if you have an optical drive you have to physically locate that... one time. Then my method works.
I have an optical drive (BluRay/DVD) but its showing at the very bottom of all other disks... after Disk 8.
Its showing up as CD-ROM 0
Yeah, mine does too. But iirc it's actually in SATA6G_4
You have to physically check optical drives.
Some software puts optical drives on top, some on the bottom. Optical drives seem to have their own system.
I know Device Manager doesn't work. I have 4 SATA ports, and one of my drives is on "Port 5".
I'm pretty good at building comps, but not that good.

Lately, just from looking things up for people... I've noticed that ASUS is starting to produce crappy manuals.
The physical manual that came with my motherboard, had NO BIOS settings in it. I had to download a pdf for that.
My "motherboard" manual does show me my SATA ports, in microscopic lettering.
This is magnified about 6x.
