My windows 10 on 2 PC's simply recognizes those ram disks, nothing needs to be done.

Are you certain your drive is ok

what data is on the disc -
do you have another computer that is NOT on 10 OS and is the data from the disc read on that one
Try if you have not already done so
device manager , dvd/cd drives - right click and click uninstall device , agree and then reboot computer
Wait for it to find the hardware and install it and then try again if it will see the data

It takes a decent laser to read DVD-Ram discs, the lasers get weak, RAM is like the first to go.

Windows 10 don't need additional software to handle RAM Disks

I made bad experience at 100% with RAM Disks.
I used different drives, many different Disc brands, nothing worked well.
Data loss was standard, disc not recognized was standard, and at all it was very sloooww.
Some years ago I ditched all this discs, lost a lot of money with this rubbish.

This may not help you for the current problem but can be a tip for the future.

    DVD RAM Solved

    Thanks People,
I seem to have solved my problem quite easily- Cleaned DVD RAM with Lens cleaner and cleaned DVD drive laser by using a CD laser cleaner disc. Yes I know it's a CD laser cleaner but whether it was that or cleaning DVD RAM it now plays. Maybe useful tip to other people.
    Thank You

Nice that your able to figure it out. never had any luck cleaning lens on drives. The lasers get weak and cant read discs.
I collected over 30 drives over 20 years. Last month went through the 12 better ones seeing what worked, ended up throwing out 6 of them. I still have a box of old CD only drives. People on ebay are selling drives for under $10, but not all revisions of model numbers can read DVD-RAM discs. You need the whole model number to determine what it can actually do.

Then I had to replace a drive on our SFF 755 Dell optiplex, drive just quit one day, like dead. For $9 was worth getting.
And on that drive, DELL has new firmware to fix it working with DVD-RAM discs, and it allowed the replacement drive to work very well with RAM discs. Before that firmware update, it could not read RAM discs, even though the specs say it would.
