    New PC starts up slow


    I just did a new windows installation on my new pc
    But windows 10 pro starts up so slow, it almost takes a minute to get to my windows screen

    Asus TUF B450-PRO GAMING moederbord
    AMD Ryzen 5 3500X processor
    G.Skill DDR4 Ripjaws-V 2x8GB 3200Mhz
    A-DATA XPG SX8200 Pro internal solid state drive M.2 1000 GB PCI Express 3.0 3D TLC NVMe

    Did i do something wrong in my bios maybe
    I changed the XMP for my memory but do i have to do something for my disk

    The script measures the time to do a restart, which is longer than a cold boot.

    It gives 55 seconds. A cold boot on my primary system takes about 40 seconds. I dimly recall that it used to take considerably less, but, as far as I know, nothing is wrong. (Fast boot is enabled in the BIOS settings.) The latest BIOS versions are approximately 20 MB in size; the earlest were 1bout 15MB. Maybe there's more going on in POST. A lot of the boot time is spent in the initial BIOS splash screen.
