Webcam not working: 0XA00F4244 (0XC00DABED)

I have a hp envy 17 inch running on windows 10, and I have a truevision hd webcam, however for some weeks now the webcam has stopped working, it doesn't even show in device manager, when I search webcam, I get an error message saying "we can't find your camera", and the error code"0XA00F4244 (0XC00DABED)" is also displayed below. what could possibly be wrong here and how do I fix this?
