This doesn't help with your problem but it is important and needs to be said.

All files of any importance need at least 1 backup copy. Files of particular importance should have 2 or more backup copies. Files of sufficient importance that you would wish an expert to recover them would qualify for this category. All drives, any type, new or old, can fail at any time and they often do so without warning or apparent cause. There are also other causes of data loss which cannot be prevented. You need to be prepared when this happens.

It was all fault is wd drive portable ...
I did cut and paste to western digital drive and saved password that r inbuilt software in drive. later 2 days it dissapears on screen once shows. Later that I mistakenly formatted wd drive. Completly lost. After formatted wd drive there's no inbuilt software like locking and something. That's the better one. WD drive did the mistake to put software in it

I need coffee, is this an SSD Western Digital drive, or, is it a platter-driven WD? Reason for asking, I think it is easier in some ways to bring back folders and files from a platter-driven than from an SSD. If I'm incorrect, others will correct me :)

Just my opinion, but this whole thing would not be an issue if the OP had a dedicated remote bay with an SSD. Just point all downloads to that drive. No folders or files to worried about on the system. Just disconnect the drive bay! Now it's just a matter of clearing your browser. Easy Peasy!

It may be to late but here is a list of 20 free file recovery programs. I have used Recuva. I have the paid version. It didn't recover all my files but it did recover most of them.
