USB mouse and wifi adapter need to unplug and plug to enable them work

I don't know why my usb mouse and wifi adapter normally don't work after the system's boot up, then I need to unplug them and plug them, then they both work. The keyboard works fine. So strange.

I am assuming the WiFi adapter is a USB device also.
If so, it sounds like your USB ports are not initializing on startup.

Are both devices plugged into USB 2.0 ports or USB 3.0 ports (usually with blue tabs)?

Have you tried changing USB ports?

I haven't yet experienced such problems with my setup, 4 computers attached to a KVM switch. I started with 2 computers and a PS/2 and VGA KVM then later added more computers with a 4-port USB and VGA KVM. Any issues were avoided early on by turning off Hibernation and Sleep and changing the Power choices to not turn off the power to the USB ports. My computers are running Win10 Pro, Win10 Home, Win10 Pro Insider Preview and Linux Mint 20.1 using Microsoft Keyboard and an older Dell Mouse.

Yes, wifi adapter is also a USB device. Sometimes it works fine, not like the mouse (brand is steel series). The mouse almost needs unplug/plug each time the system boot-up.

Wifi is using a USB 3.0 port and mouse is a USB 2.0 port.

This is the mother board page and the mouse is using one of the red port (usb2.0), the keyboard is using the other red one (never met this problem).

I did some research and someone also met this issue when they're use a steel series mouse. Not sure about if it's certain.

Besides, I found sometimes the usb 3.0 speed is not correct. I copied big files and speeds is only 30MB/s. But after a reboot, do it again it would be much faster.

So I guess the usb driver or something is mess up on my PC.

This stood out for me on the motherboard:

You could try going into BIOS settings and turning that feature on or off. Test to see if it makes a change in behavior.

Also, gaming mice with dedicated drivers can have problems, especially if they are not fully compatible with newer versions of Windows 10.

As a test you could uninstall the mouse and it's driver from Device Manager, restart, and let Windows install the generic Windows mouse driver. Then test to see if the behavior changes.
