Keyboard - Keys Suddenly not Showing Wrong Symbols

This problem has occurred several times for apparently no reason.
The web gives many links that propose a number of surgeries.
Every single time it has happened to me, a simple restart has cured it.

[1] Is it a Wireless or Wired keyboard?
[2] Have you tried another keyboard to see if the problem persists?
[3] Have you checked the manufacturers website for Updated drivers?
[4] Have you got a System Restore Point that you could try before this started happening?
[5] Have you installed ANY Windows Updates?
[6] What exactly have you tried already?

    I hope this helps.

Paul, thank you for all that effort.
PC is Ethernet connected. Have not got another keyboard. Drivers updated by HP Support Assistant as routine.
Do not wish to dabble with System Restore. Yes I always install Windows updates, recently a cumulative one.
Net conclusion Paul - more investigation not worth while - the restart cured it, been OK ever since.

As you must know from experience Paul, a restart often cures many irregular problems.
