Importing D Drive into C Drive -- Disk Management

    Greetings Folks,

Dang I tried to answer this without bothering you. Watched a bunch of YouTube vids but no one had my situation.

    Importing D Drive into C Drive -- Disk Management-inked2021-01-17-18_54_04-disk-management_li.jpg

This PC shipped with a D drive partition on the C drive. I turned it into unallocated space but when I right click my C to import that space, C can't see it. I've heard an ugly rumor that's because of that 1000 MB partition sitting in between.

Is there a way to slide that partition out of the way or some other Windows trick?

(I think I had to do something like this with MiniTool years ago. Is there a native easier way?)

    Go to Minitool.

    That isn't a rumor. It's a fact.

    Ha! That explains it. Thanks.

So I opened up MiniTool and realized, yeah, I'd been there ages ago. The interface is a tad intimidating but I decided to throw some dice and try something simple.

THE PROBLEM IN WINDOW'S DISK MANAGEMENT

was that the unallocated space wasn't adjacent to the C drive. The 'extend volume' option in Windows mysteriously only works if that unallocate space is next to it. (Why they still haven't fixed this is just a WOW.)

SO MY FEELING WAS THAT IN MINITOOL

someone already fixed the broken 'extend volume' option. So I did just what you do in Windows. I right-clicked the C volume and there was the 'extend volume' option. In the next window it saw the unallocated space (within a drop down menu), I moved a dial to absorb all of it, hit the APPLY button and VOILA. Intuitive software take a cigar out of petty cash.
