    Hardware error at startup

When I startup my Windows 10 laptop I get the error message below, which says that the system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly, not sure why the cooling fan would be failing as I have only had this laptop. I don't have another laptop or computer I can use, so any help is appreciated!

    Laptop make/mode: HP Notebook - 17-ca0096nr
    Product # 5YH50UA#ABA

    Error that is being displayed:

The system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly.

Continued operation is not reccomended and may cause unpredicatable behavior that could result in random shutdown, data loss or possbile system damage.

The system will shutdown in 15 seconds. To prevent shutdown and continue operation, press the Enter key now.

    System Fan (908)

    ENTER - Continue Startup

You have to disassemble the laptop and replace the fan. You can purchase one from Ebay https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...r+Fan&_sacat=0
You can get disassembly video instruction on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...nr+disassembly

I can't disassemble it myself as it is under manufacturer warranty until January 05, 2022, so I would have to send it off to get it replaced.

Run the onboard HP diagnostics and contact HP for warranty support.

Confirm your Warranty and open a support case and have them Issue you an RMA to return the laptop to HP and they will fix it for free. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06287911

Find a camera or smartphone camera to take pictures and post images into the thread.
Also these images should record the HP error code for warranty support.

Run the quick test per the HP link.

Another option are the component tests.
It may be part of the power test.

    How the components are tested:

    Fan - Speed
Determines if the fans are functioning properly.
    2–10 minutes
    Non-interactive

    Fan - Thermal
Determines if your CPU fan is functioning properly.
    320 seconds
    Non-interactive
