Would it Be a Good Spending on a Samsung 500GB Sata SSD?

Right now my system config is as allows

Samsung M.2 970 Evo Plus (new for Christmas)
Former Boot Drive Samsung 860 Evo 250gb drive, (now a game drive, but kinda almost not enough room for the games, my options are uninstall a couple of the games, and move those to WD Black hard drive and run them off that, or purchasing a 500GB sized Sata SSD that i can afford, but then fun task of fiddling with this darn case to open front panel again, to get access to The Drive Cages in front of the case behind the front panel

Though kinda good deal for the 500GB 860 Evo right now for $54.99 at Newegg.com

((250gb i'd keep, and put it on one of the extra spots i got on case for 2.5 inch Sata drive, despite would have to run another sata data wire, and find another sata power cord if did that))

    decisions decisions

I say go for it. it's a good drive. 1TB would be better
If you're looking at SATA, I would only check Samsung and Crucial MX500.

Yeah only been checking Samsung, well i could save a little of this Gift card, til February birthday i suppose, don't think i exactly have enough for 1TB drive as yet, but do agree Sata SSD 1TB probably best to hold all the games.

Then convert WD Black Drive strictly to Storage of Pictures, Music, and Video files, and still backup all the drives with Macrium reflect on same schedule always used

((and Fun task of reopening this darn case front panel to access drive bay/tray screws, then getting all the cables for the 3 front RGB fans outta the way, so can slide out SSD Drive if i wanted to put newer one there in future lol, then replugging in the data and power cables lol.

Previous system had a Western Digital Blue 250GB, and the life expected for that drive went down really fast for some reason, when i discontinued use of it was at 70 percent, so i was like yeah new boot drive, old system didn't have room for multiple drives, so kept it as external in enclosure to store some files on

On high tech components, if you don't need, don't buy. SSD prices will drop much more on the following months.
Although the 500GB 860 Evo has a good price, you don't really need it as you have a 250G SSD and a WD 500G Black Drive.

Well currently have Samsung 970 Evo 500GB M.2, Samsung 860 Evo 250GB (former boot drive), now some game of the games drive, and WD Black 1TB Sata Mechanical drive to round out my storage currently in Main Gaming Desktop.

Didn't Order this one, was tempted to though

Why don't you clone the 860 Evo 250GB into the 970 Evo 500GB M.2 and then format the 860 Evo 250GB?

I went with Clean Install, and reinstalled everything on the system, didn't take too long at all, most of the games did fit on the 250GB, except 2 lol, but put those on WD black drive.

    93.6 Free on 250GB Drive

So not too bad really i suppose lol

Think should be all set now hopefully

A clean install is always the best solution (gets rid of the trash).

Remember that a SSD needs some free space. Ideal is 10% (not sure).

Yes i did remember that, why nothing else probably installing on the 250Gb one, if need be can move one of the Games to WD Black drive if comes to it, Always make sure i have some space free ever since got first SSD

Currently 41 Percent Free on D:, Samsung 860 Evo 250GB drive according to disk management
so looks like i'm all set i think

That was my conclusion too - just bought a Samsung EVO 500GB for father and a Crucial MX500 1TB for me based on price.
