    Insert Disk in Drive (E:)

I keep getting a pop up that says "Insert Disk Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (E:) Cancel"
There is no Drive or Disk (E:)
What is this all about? I see others have the same issue.
I have Windows 10 Home version 1909 OS Build 18363.1256

Are you getting this message when you are performing some specific operation or only when running a specific application?

Also, in the title bar of the dialog displaying that message, is the name of the program requesting that disk displayed?

It pops up anytime. It is a small box that says exactly as I say in my post. There is nothing else in the box.

It seems you have installed a program using a USB drive that at the time had assigned letter E:
Now this program (probably running on the background) needs something from the installer.

Your computer specs are a bit vague. All hardware should have brand/make/model. So it's hard to tell if this is a hardware problem. Does this PC have a card reader?

    @spetho2001,
Try this and check whether your problem is resolved.
Download v 1.6.1 of the drivecleanup.zip from Drive Tools for Windows (Roll down on this page till you see DriveCleanup V 1.6.1 ) ( I have been using Drive Cleanup since Windows 7 )
Unzip it to a folder, say drivecleanup.
You will have two folders Win32 and x64 each containing DriveCleanup.exe for 32 bit and 64 bit Windows respectively.
Remove all USB storage devices from your system (except your Keyboard and mouse) and reboot. Disconnect internet/network.
Right click on the DriveCleanup.exe and run as administrator. (Use the DriveCleanup.exe file appropriate for your bit version of Windows.).
After the clean up act, reboot.
( When you plug in your USB devices after this cleanup, these will be installed afresh. What you have done is to remove all non-present devices and drive letters associated with them and start with a clean slate. Hopefully that should resolve the problem or so I would think .)

USBDeview by Nirsoft NirSoft - freeware utilities: password recovery, system utilities, desktop utilities might show you any historical uses of drive E:, even if the devices are no longer connected.

The desktop PC was made not purchased. It does have a card reader that I never use. Insert Disk in Drive (E:)-insert.jpg

There may not be now, but there may have been in the past.
