Hi, please confirm there appears to be a driver for your touchpad listed in your Device Manager.

What do you see here? If you see these settings, are they correct?

Is there a setting in the BIOS to disable your touchpad?

Your PC appears to be about 5 years old and has drivers listed for Win 10- is that correct?
    E.g.

    Thanks.

Yes my device is the one in the link and yes that is the same website where i got the drivers i used.

The drivers appear in the mice, keyboard option for synaptic in the device manager.

My touchpad moves the same nothing has changed no cursor problem,my arises when it comes to using the primary and secondary buttons(at the bottom of touchpad) they completely stopped working, i cant click to rename/check properties etc...

The touchpad settings appear but they are no help they are very limited(lack of a better term)...

I even tried a solution i saw on a different forum to install presion touchpad but still the 2 buttons below touch pad didnt work...thanks for getting back to me

    - - - Updated - - -

windows 10 - Synaptics Clickpad doesn't move, or doesn't right-click, or always right-clicks, depending on driver - Super User

thats the link to the failed solution

was even thinking of going back to an older version of the diver...please advise

Thank you for describing your problem more accurately.

    Similar:

Seems uncommon- a quick search results only yield HP results.

Check options, feel free to try an older driver.

Have you checked for options in the actual driver software - e.g. Control Panel, Mouse (or via Settings):

    - that's a Synaptics driver - there are different forms of these with quite different appearances.

Most Notebooks have a hardware feature using the Fn and another F key or maybe a physical switch to disable [or enable] the Touchpad and its 2 buttons when wanting to plug in a mouse. My wife has to use it to prevent thumbs from doing things not desired and I see it when working on Notebooks and have to be careful as I'm dealing with neuropathy in my extremities from the chemo treatments.

@Berton - the puzzling thing here it's just the buttons that aren't working.

If you boot to Safe Mode, do they work?

And what happens when accessing your BIOS?
