accidentally deleted dolby audio from add/remove programs

Hi, I am new here. I have encountered a very strange and depressing problem...

So while deleting some programs on add/remove programs on windows 10, I accidentally deleted two dolby audio programs. I don't know the exact names, it happened pretty fast. I just read "preparing to remove" and find myself unable to stop it. Worst is I haven't created any restore point.

I became extremely worried because I love dolby audio's sound a lot. So I decided to just make sure the dolby audio programs I deleted were truly deleted and just reinstall it again. But shockingly when I go to playback devices, the dolby audio tab is still there and I can still turn it on.

    My questions:

    1. I am using windows 10 64 bit. The dolby audio programs in the add/remove programs are already there when I first used my operating system. What exactly have I deleted?

    2. It seems nothing really bad happened. Why is that? I am so concerned because I feel I might have done something unknown to my sound drivers. Did I do something very wrong but is unknown to me right now?

    3. What should I do next? Should I try to get those back? But I really can't remember the exact names. I really didn't mean to delete them.

    Thanks for your help.

Hi, open event viewer, and search for any of the 3 event id's shown at the bottom of the middle window:

That should let you find the names of the programs you uninstalled.

(I assume you uninstalled them, rather than 'deleting' something).

    Hi, Here's what I found:

Windows Installer removed the product. Product Name: Dolby Audio X2 Windows API SDK. Product Version: 0.6.3.44. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Dolby Laboratories, Inc.. Removal success or error status: 0.

Windows Installer removed the product. Product Name: Dolby Audio X2 Windows APP. Product Version: 0.6.3.48. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Dolby Laboratories, Inc.. Removal success or error status: 0.

So what are those? I can't find any information about them online. Are those important? Should I reinstall them?

There's plenty of info.. only you can decide their relevance to your PC/configuration.

For example, were they supplied with your PC originally- if so, you'd find them on your manufacturer's site.

As to tidying up your installation, if you think they were partially uninstalled, you can
    - download and reinstall
    - if then you don't want them try uninstalling using Revo uninstaller or Geek uninstaller (free).
