RAM chip part number appears different than the one ordered.

Bought a - Kingston HyperX Predator 8GB DDR4 3000MHz which has this part number on the box: HX430C15PB3/8
The sticker on the RAM indicates the same part number.
The store from which I bought is a really big one in my country(emag.ro).

However:
Both CPU-Z and command prompt , upon investigation, show:
KHX3000C15D4/8GX - serial number A619BF34 (Speccy shows the serial number as 2786705204)

KHX3000C15D4/8GX belongs to a different RAM chip.
I saw another user complained about something similar.

I also read through that sheet.
It ran at 2400Mhz for 3 years and last night I chose Profile #2 and it runs now at 3000Mhz.
The latency was also lowered with this profile from CL17 to CL15.

But I find it weird that it didn't ran like that from the get-go.
I paid for something that runs by default at 3000Mhz, not 2400Mhz.

You have to set the XMP profile in the Bios, it doesn`t do it by itself.

Why did you run it for 3 years without checking ?

Interesting. A Google search on KHX3000C15D4/8GX goes to https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX430C15PB3_8.pdf

Retail links for KHX3000C15D4/8GX have it as a 32GB set (4 X 8GB). It may be as simple as the HX430C15PB3/8 being a single module that is also sold in a 32GB kit.

I have never had a motherboard that used an XMP for RAM by default. The motherboard of the system I'm typing this from defaults to 2133 MHz. (My RAM is DDR4 3000.) I had to select the AMD equivalent of XMP in the BIOS setup.
