M.2 shows on Device manager but not on disk management

    Hello everyone,

So I finally built my computer and it works well and every part was detected in the BIOS when it posted.

However when I installed windows 10 (Version 20H2) Education on it, the second drive M.2 (the first one is where I installed Win 10) doesn't show in peripherals.

I watched in the disk management and could not find it either but it appears in Device manager.

Can anyone help me solve this problem??

    Thank you

What make and model motherboard? Is the second drive connected to a slot on the motherboard itself?

The mobo is a Asus Prime Z490M-plus and both drives are connected directly to the board via the M.2 connectors

Well, the motherboard manual is certainly no help at all! Maybe try swapping the slots the SSDs are in. If the problem follows the SSDs, then you might have a bad SSD. If the problem stays with the same slots, then it is a bad motherboard or BIOS setting. Is there a setting in BIOS to set the mode for the second M.2 slot (SATA v. NVMe)? It needs to be NVMe, but the second M.2 slot is capable of using a SATA SSD.
