Rolling back to 2004 is no longer an option. As I mentioned before, it was working great before I updated to 2004, then more recently to 20H2. The issue started with 2004, shortly before updating to 20H2. Even Steve agreed this problem doesn't sound like a coincidence.

First, you don't respond to a post and state that "OP is complaining." Comes off as rude. Not very becoming of a Guru.
Second, the keyboard and mouse did not come with any installer/software disc. Unless you're using an old keyboard/mouse, they are plug-and-play and most times don't have such a thing included. And installing anything from Logitech's site did nothing for this issue. In fact, the Unifying software is outdated. They are now pushing people to install Setpoint. I'm not even sure what it was you were trying to convey with that link.
Third, I've stated that having an extension cable just defeats the purpose of a wireless solution (and I'm trying to avoid having more wires on my desk, as well as having to spend any money if possible) and this problem is only intermittent, and affects every wireless keyboard I've used (even a non-Logitech one). From what's been going on, it sounds more like a software issue than a hardware one. Please read the thread again.
Must say I agree that it came off an as inappropriate response when I read it too. It's different hardware and software, so inappropriate comparison here the way it was presented..

I agree with you, if it worked with 2004, it sure smells like a 20H2 introduced software problem.

So I broke down and bought an extension cable for the keyboard dongle. Been using it for a few days, and....

    No dice.

Still lagging intermittently. In fact, if anything, it's gotten worse.

    Update on the issue......

Been a few weeks since getting that extension cable, and no improvement. The fob is now just three inches away from the keyboard, if even that, and I am actually struggling just to type this. Infuriating, really. I've had to unplug the fob just to "reset" the thing in order to finish this without smashing the damn thing to bits in a fit of rage. So, now my question is this....

Can someone recommend me a decent, cheap wired keyboard? My only requirement is that it is a full-size 102-key set or more, and has media/access keys as well. I really didn't want to buy another keyboard but it looks like I'm gonna have to just bite the bullet on this one. Thanks in advance.

I'm facing the same issue. The only thing/workaround that worked for me (at least for now) was to plug the receiver in a USB 2.0 since that in any of the 3.0 ones lag a lot! Now it its plugged in a rear USB 2.0 port, not directly visible with the keyboard nor the mouse and both work without lags.

    Regards

I had thought about that, but I don't seem to have anything but 3.0 ports on this PC, sadly.
