Keyboard input lag (Logitech K270 wireless keyboard, Windows 10 20H2)

Hi there. I've got yet another Windows 10 problem. lol

This time it's my keyboard. I'm using a Logitech K270 wireless keyboard, on Windows 10 Pro 20H2. I have been experiencing keyboard input lag off and on for a couple months now, and I've searched for possible solutions, but none so far have worked. I was hoping you guys could suggest some fixes.

Here's what I've tried, based on the suggestions I've found on the web:

• Updating the keyboard/dongle's drivers (there are no drivers on Logitechs's site, oddly) and firmware. Nope.
• Swapping USB ports. Nada.
• Unplugging any extraneous USB devices. Zilch.
• Checking the batteries. No joy.

As I was typing this it was lagging here and there. It's a bit disconcerting. Anyway... I don't think I missed anything, but if you need more information or diagnostics, lemme know and I'll upload 'em.

I do, actually. I have another Logi keyboard and mouse, as well as wired off-brand input devices I can test.
I had updated the BIOS recently, less than two months ago. I can check in case there is another update.
Drivers seem to be current, as it states that "the best drivers are already installed," for the Logitech USB Input Device (Logitech-branded) and the two HID Keyboard Devices (Microsoft-branded) I see in the Device Manager. Logitech doesn't have any drivers for download directly from their support site, so I am stuck with the ones Windows installed. All they have is the Setpoint software and Firmware Update tool. Device installation settings is already enabled to download device icons and apps, and the option to automatically download drivers via Windows Update is also enabled (and I've checked for updates a few times over the past few weeks, nothing except a few minor patches.

I'll try the other keyboards. I can't say for sure IF the lag will affect them (as it seems pretty intermittent with this one, and I haven't had any at all while typing this whole response.

The mention of the BIOS update suggests to me a check for the USB setting, most times the BIOS has support for USB 2 ports but not USB 3 which is provided by drivers in the OS when it loads. I like to assure the USB is set for Legacy. Even though USB 3 is supposed to be usable with the older USB 2 devices it doesn't always work that way.

Did your keyboard ever work with Windows 10 2004 and no lag?

I've read that article a few days ago. Some good points but nothing had worked on my end. The distance is just a few feet. Our wireless router is in another room entirely. Batteries are almost brand-new. Never observed any resource spikes, even when I have a game running on one monitor and several tabs open in Firefox on the other. Wasn't aware that SetPoint actually installs drivers, so I'll check that out (despite it being last updated in April of last year). I don't think a wired hub is conducive to fixing my issue as that defeats the purpose of having a wireless keyboard in the first place.
I had the lag with 2004, as well.

Here we are, a week later, with no solution in sight. Tried all the solutions here, and so far, none have worked. Can't find my wired keyboard, and I've had to resort to using the on-screen keyboard to type this, as the lag is so bad that sometimes it doesn't even register some of my keystrokes at all. The oddest part about this is that this issue comes and goes, and most times it's just a minor annoyance at best.

I had typed out a two-paragraph reply to this, and oddly, it's gone. I went to edit it, and the site told me it was an invalid post, so I went back, refreshed it, and it's gone.

Basically what I replied was, this happens with every wireless keyboard I've tried. And it ONLY affects keyboards. And not to mention that things were working fine with this PC before 2004 was installed (I had held off on that update since I heard about the massive issues it had until recently, and it's updated to 20H2 now, still lagging). I don't think an extension cable is going to fix this.
