    I know that.

However, someone implied earlier that they "never" connected a device, and in fact, you don't have to physically connect it, such as a USB flash drive.
And they were right. I too have all the debris from the 20H2 upgrade and I can assure you that I do not have a Xeno processor. When you connect a USB flash device it shows as a hidden device when it gets disconnected in Device Manager-> Disk drives.

I also did not manually install a processor I do not have.

There are entries in my list of ghosted devices I never "physically" connected.

By "physically", I mean you don't directly plug in a controller every time you need it...you do directly plug in a USB flash drive every time you need it...both have entries.

So "physically" connecting is not a requirement to get an entry.

As mentioned, this goes back to Windows 7.

Just because there are "new" devices being listed as ghosted doesn't mean it's a problem.

Remove them, and see if they re-appear.

If they do, report it on Feedback.

Otherwise, if it's not causing a problem on your system (I've never seen it cause one), then it's really a non-issue.

Sort of like chasing down DCOM 10016, or ESET 642 errors in the Event Log.

    Also non-issues.

Except for the unnecessary time wasted and frustration for people to find out they're to be ignored if they don't already know this and are trying to solve other problems on top of it.

And now that they do know, the frustration should subside, and no more time needs to be wasted.

Your controller is connected because it is part of the motherboard. You are being obtuse.

You mean hidden not ghosted. I am an MCT and believe you me, it is a problem. You know why? Because it should not happen. The debris should not be there and was not cleaned up after the install. That's why. Maybe you like bloat but I don't.

Better still is if they don't leave them there as part of the install in the first place.

It is not a non issue because it should not exist.

    MCT...a medium-chain triglyceride?

    I mean ghosted.

I guess if you have all the time in the world to parse through looking for every little thing, you'll find something to stress out over.

Some of us need to get real work done, so an issue is what prevents us from doing that.

    Have a good day.

No something quite elucidating. You may well mean ghosted but it says hidden in the menu.

All of these hidden devices including Hyper-V guest hardware have a first install date of 9/27/2020 at around 10:33 AM.
