Firmware for HP 255 G7 Notebook

I keep getting a prompt to restart my HP 255 G7 Notebook because it has an available firmware update.

So I restarted it, I go to Device Manager and it has a tick next to the firmware saying the following:

Do I need to update the firmware or what do I need to do?

Is this has to do with my SSD, I upgraded it to a bigger capacity SSD of 500 GB from Crucial.

    I hope y'all can help!

Click the Details tab and then select Hardware Ids in the drop-down menu.
Submit an image of that window.

THIS is the only firmware update listed for your HP.

These appear to be the drivers available for your PC: you can compare the available version:

Suggest you manually check the version installed vs that on HP's web site just to be sure.

@dalchina, the installed version is F320000. According to HP, the latest version from them is like @flavallee redirected me to is HPC0016.REVA.

    Should I install HP's version?

The F320000 version came from Windows Update.

The version shown on the site I listed is
    Firmware for HP 255 G7 Notebook-1.png

That may mean the one you have installed is later..

The link in post #2 shows an earlier version (see date):

I therefore think you should go by the text of the message in your first post.

I wonder how you got a later version than WU is offering now...or is available on HPs site- or so it seems.

That leaves dealing with a prompt you don't want... when does it occur? Is your PC otherwise ok?

    Jesse:
    My apology.
I didn't notice a Firmware tab is present.
Click it and then submit an image so we can see what's listed there.

@Samuria, I run HP Support Assistant once a month. I ran it last week, and there was no firmware or bios update. There was however an update for the network card.
