Mouse won't wake up computer from sleep.

When my computer goes to sleep, power light is blinking on the computer so perhaps it's deep sleep, moving the USB attached mouse does not wake it up.
Allow mouse to wake is enabled:

This used to work, even with 2004 but somewhere with one of their updates it stopped working. I tried a new mouse, same problem. Any suggestions?

Yes, I've done many Google searches and looked at lots of responses but there really is nothing more than the above as far as a suggested fix.

I've uninstalled the mouse from Device Manager then rebooted, no help.

USB attached keyboard works okay and wakes the computer.

    @Ztruker

There's one or two settings in the BIOS concerning mice and waking things up.
I can't see how an update would change that.

Did you reset the BIOS to defaults, recently, or update the BIOS?

Thanks, I'll take a look. I don't remember any BIOS setting for mouse or keyboard but worth looking at.

Hmmm. Moving my mouse does not wake the computer, but pressing any mouse button does...

Probably not specifically for mouse or keyboard but I always Enable Legacy USB.

I don't have that setting in BIOS/UEFI Setup.

Neither has any effect for me.

I wonder if this is connected to the KVM switch the mouse and keyboard are connected to. I share them between two computers.

I'll move the mouse to a direct USB connection on my Lenovo desktop and see if that makes a difference. Had not thought of that before, though I've been using it this way for 10-15 years without having this problem, with two different KVM switches.

Nope, that didn't make any difference. It wakes up my Windows 7 system just fine which is the other system connected to the KVM switch.

I think mouse driver should support that feature.
Is mouse driver original one for your OS and up to date?

Depending on the USB host controller, more than one button press might be required to cause the screen to turn on. It is an optional capability for the mouse to support generating a resume event and waking the system for any movement of the mouse other than pressing a button.

I'm not on my Desktopright now, my wife is using it, but it's using whatever driver Microsoft provides. As I mentioned, I uninstalled the device (several times actually) then rebooted and let Win 10 reinstall it but it didn't make any difference.
