    Newish 8TB HDD Shows Health Status (Caution)

    Should I be worried? The drive has done less than 3000 hours and is already showing a caution in the health status according the CrystalDiskInfo. Is there any fix?

    Get a second opinion by downloading and running Download Hard Disk Sentinel

    If you don't regularly make backups, now might be a good time while the drive is still working. It's always a good idea to make backups, even when everything is working fine: Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

    Sample output from someones failing drive here. It has more detail than Crystal Mark.

    You can read this. Hard disk case: weak sectors

    Someone with more experience, feel free to make suggestions as I've not experienced this issue before and not sure what the best course of action is at this time .

    About all you can do is continue to monitor the situation.

    If the current pending sector counts continues to increase, that's a bad sign. But it may not. Watch it periodically.

    @Billy Ball,

    Were you experiencing any PC/disk problems that led you to check the drive health status? Just wondering.

    What would you think about running a "chkdsk /r" on this drive?

    Billy, before you do that, I'd like to see what @ignatzatsonic or others suggest in this case.
