    Printer Communication problem

For a long time, my system has listed its printers twice. For example, I have "HP LaserJet 1320" and "HP Laserjet 1320 (Copy 1)," also "HP OfficeJet 5200 series" and "HP OfficeJet 5200 Series (7F84B9)" (My old Canon also had a plain and "Copy 1" version.) This never used to cause a problem, and I could print to any of them.

But now, possibly due to the update from Ver 1903 to 2004, only the 1320 (Copy 1) prints. Documens sent to any of the others get trapped in the print queue. Control Panel, by the way, shows only the Copy 1 version of the LaserJet. and shows the 5200 twice, without the 7F84B9 on either. The 5200's printer section works OK when I use it as a copier.

How do I get both printers to work?

And if I don't get them to print, how do I retrieve documents trapped in the three non-working print queues?

Can you clear/delete documents in cue and add the correct printer you want to be your main printer? You may have to work with the printers showing in device manager.

Uninstall all the printers and unplug them.Shutdown and restart and make sure all references to them have gone.
Reinstall one only and see if it operates normally.
    If it does,reinstall the second.
    Why two printers?
If you are able to view the documents, then try---microsoft print to pdf---option on the print page selection, before the uninstall process.

    Thanks. Will try tomorrow.

One printer is a LaserJet, fast and with low cost per page. The other is a color inkjet/scanner/fax/copier.
