Try to manually install an older driver using compatibility mode. Don't just click on it to install. Do it manually using compatibility mode. Maybe it'll work or maybe it won't....

Not all Win7 machines upgrade well to Win10, and the MS Win10 Compatibility Tool does not indicate that in advance.

Dell doesn't provide Win10 drivers for your device. Since the linked Dell drivers apparently don't work, it is pointless to keep asking over and over again for something that does not exist.

But on the other hand, it was once said that the difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a man's determination

You could always try the Atheros drivers for Windows 8

People will need more precise information to help.

    1) Is this an upgrade or a clean install of W10?

2)Which driver works , the Dell or Atheros ?

    3) "it didn't work after resting the laptop " By resting do you mean suspending? By not working do you mean it wouldn't connect automatically
or was the network Icon missing from your systray (bottom right) ?

You mean "restarting" the laptop? If that is the case, you were probably caught by Win10 insistence on replacing working drivers with faulty ones from MS. And if this IS the case, you would need to (1) manually reinstall the working drivers, and (2) disable driver updates through Windows Update -- following link has details: http://www.howtogeek.com/223864/how-...on-windows-10/

Open up PC get name and manufacture on the card itself, go to manufacture website, and grab drivers from there. Dell does not manufacture the wifi card someone else does for them, i know as i use to have a dell machine and they did not provide drivers for win 8 when i had it, i went direct to manufacture of the card itself and got them and they worked. Or go buy a new one for it, they are simple to put in and you can get them of amazon even the min socket one's dell uses.
