Mouse Double Clicks When I want Single Click

I bought a new keyboard/mouse combo several months back - a Logitech K520 keyboard with M510 mouse. They're wireless, and work on the same Logitech unifying receiver that is plugged into a USB port on the computer. The software for it is updated and current. I also tried to spray air under the mouse button to clean it out. The annoying problem I have is sometimes when I want to click something once, press the left mouse button, it will do a double click. Like if I click on a menu, it'll go away as if I clicked once on it and clicked it again. And with emails, if I click it once to preview it'll actually open the message in a new window which is what it would do if double clicked. Is there anything I can do to this mouse or does this mean its defective internally?

The older Control Panel had a Mouse setting for Double-click speed, maybe some help there?

Under the mouse options on Windows 10.1909 all I see is pointer/cursor size/color, select primary button (left), scroll single or multiple lines. I do not see a double click speed. And there's nothing for it in the Logitech Options App.

I think you are looking at the Settings page> mouse options.

Go to the old Control Panel>Mouse. click Mouse. should get:

If you come into Control Panel by category, it's this path:

Question. Has the mouse been acting funny since day one, when you bought it, or is this a recent event?

Well, I don't exactly remember. I think it was ok when I first built the computer. I just found the mouse settings under the old Control Panel and changed double click speed. I will test it out. It wasn't double-clicking every time.

Well like I said, I did try blowing compressed air into the crack between the button and the mouse body. I don't see any other way to take it apart. It happened again a couple times.

The screws are usually under the glide pads, have to pry them off. Bad part is whether they will stick back on.
