    Extending Primary Partition

Hi. I noticed my recovery partition was eating up a good 24 GB of my SSD, so I deleted it in Disk Management. However, the Extend Volume option on the primary partition is greyed out, so I am still unable to access the unallocated 24 GB. What must I do to as these 24 GB to my primary partition?

Hi, please post a screenshot of your partition layout using a 3rd party partition manager such as Minitool Partition Manager ensuring all text in columns is visible thus:

The most appropriate way to make changes to your system partition is usually with a 3rd party partition manager which can effect changes on restart.

It's likely you may need to move c so the space is after c

Hi thanks for the replies. The problem was that I had to also delete an unlabeled 1.74 GB partition. Once both were unallocated, the Extend Volume option appeared on the C drive.

Just a note of explanation, there can't be any partition between a partition to be Extended into unallocated space so the only choice is to delete that intervening partition, just as you did. All space involved has to be contiguous to other space for it to work.
