    Possible C drive partion issue.

    He Guys,

I just decided to do an image of both my PC's and noticed something strange! on one of my PC's as I expected there was a recovery partition and EFI partition as well as the main Boot drive partition all on the same SSD, great. :)

However on my other PC when setting it up image software it only saw the C drive and no other partition so I went into Disk Managment and there was only the C drive with a full partiton and there is no system/recovery partition on any of the other drives. Windows is runing fine on the computer, should I be worried?

Both PC's are running Windows 10 Pro for Workstaions.

    Regards,
    Dave G

Please post a screenshot of the partitions of all disks on the PC you're concerned about, using a 3rd party partitition manager such as Minitool Partition Manager (not Disk Managment) making sure all text in all columns is visible, thus:

Note that UEFI based PCs typically have 4 partitions for the O/S; MBR (older, legacy) based PCs have fewer partitions.

    Which is yours?

Some people choose to delete the Recovery partition (albeit losing some features).

That's MBR, so a single partition for Windows is possible.

    Compare UEFI layout:

In Disk Management, if your C: drive looks like mine does, it's OK. The stuff in the parentheses is the important part.

Yours will probably also have the Page File on the C: drive.

Yep, that's it. It's fine. It has all the stuff in the parentheses (after the word Healthy), that it needs. :)

My SSD has three partitions two of which I, not Windows created. I'm JUST talking about the C: partition.

Ahh OK, my other PC has the partitions, but as long as I'm not going to have any issues that great, thanks Ghot.

Yeah, as long as your C: partition has (System, Boot, Page File, Active, Crash Dump, Primary Partition), it has everything it needs.
As @dalchina said in post #2, a UEFI install has (4) partitions. An MBR install has two or one partition.

Is that why when I try to set the BIOS security to Windows OS it doesn't take, because there is no UEFI partion, do I have to set the BIOS to UEFI first and then install Windows?
