[Question] Two drivers stopped working after v2004 update

    Hey guys

So today, I decided to downloaded v2004 update and install it. After the update, I opened device manager and noticed that two "USB Host Controller" drivers had a warning sign near their logos. The warning for both was something like this:

    "Please reinstall the driver..."

And so I let Windows itself install the drivers, and both were installed without any problem. After that, their names were changed to these:

    "Intel(R) C610 series/X99 chipset USB Enhanced Host Controller #1 - 8D26"
    "Intel(R) C610 series/X99 chipset USB Enhanced Host Controller #2 - 8D2D"

1- Now, I justed wanted to know is it possible to check if there is nothing wrong with other drivers too? Because this was never happened before after an update!
2- And another question, was it safe to update the drivers by device manager finding them online? Can it cause BSOD or driver crash?

Hi, what is the make, model and approx age of your PC?
    Desktop?Laptop? Tablet? something else?
It looks as if you were running 1909 on it previously.

Were you offered the 2004 upgrade or did you choose to install that manually?

Please quote the drivers download page for it. If it is old, was 64 bit support ever provided?

What is the last edition of Windows for which there is support from your manufacturer?

If you chose to manually download and upgrade to 2004, with which there is a range of known issues, it may be there could be a compatibility problem.

FWIW, I suppose there would have been more of a risk of issues arising had you used a driver updater to find the drivers.

    - I have a setup from 2015, it's a PC with a X99 mainboard and i7 5960x. Yeah, I was using 1909 version before this update.

    - The update was offered from Windows Update tab in settings, after 3 months of waiting

    - I think you mean this page:
    RAMPAGE V EXTREME/U3.1 Driver & Tools | Motherboards | ASUS Global

    - I don't trust driver updater apps. At least, if I have no other choice I'll use them. But no, I haven't used such softwares for this PC.

Thanks- can't see anything that stands out as likely to be a particular issue. Even the BIOS isn't recently updated.
