USB Drivers (This device cannot start. (Code 10)).

    Hello,

About 3 days ago, I was doing some normal browsing on my computer running Windows 10, version 1909.

Suddenly, my computer went to a black screen and froze. I had to manually press the restart button.

After that incident, my USB drivers are not loading. Luckily my mouse is working.

To start my USB drivers, I need to manually disable them and then enable them.

    Why is this happening?

Can't be 100% sure but sounds like Windows may have updated drivers to "help" you.

Have a look in Windows Update history for what was installed just before this happen.

There are several high level categories in Windows Update history, check all, particularly "Driver Updates"

Before starting the following procedure, make a system image so you can get back to your current state if the unexpected happens [not that I'm expecting it to].

In Device manager, right-click on each of the misbehaving devices then select Uninstall.
    - Windows should then re-detect and re-install each one.
    - If it doesn't do this itself you can chivvy it along by clicking on the icon for Scan for hardware changes or by rebooting the computer.
