Lost Partitions on HDD with HDD regenerator

I am using a 2TB seagate Internal HDD DriveI used (HDD regenerator 2011) in boot media mode, and when i started the 'scan and repair' function , It worked fine for 6-7 hours, and repaired 13,301 bad sectors then out of sudden it stopped at "Device not ready", now my HDD was rendered useless ,

I can't boot through it into windows, and i checked using bootable usb to find that it has NO partitions , MinTool marks that drive as "Bad Disk" and i can't perform any operations on it. It shows me That Its unallocated and its named as Disk 1 with a black long line and file system is Bad disk, Type: logical, originally it had 4-5 partitions (including EFI stuff)Can u plz help me solve this problem.Hopefully someone can help me .Thanks



btw i also tried EaseUS bootable media to receover partitions, quick + deep scan. nothing found please help me someone, i am stupid and i have important data on it.

DISKPART does show the correct partitons on it,... ! does it mean i can still recover it somehow?!

@jumanji has a lot of experience and may be available.

Try the suggestions that zbook gave you, but I do want to set your expectations properly: If that utility that you ran found over 13,000 bad sectors (!) I really would not hold out too much hope.

I would definitely suggest a run of the Seagate tools to see if it thinks that the drive is bad.

I hate to ask this question, but, how current are your backups?

Hey! thanks for the response!, i tried running Sea Tools and i have interesting results,

SMART Test - PASS

But the most interesting part is that, i have a "mount" program in Sea tools, so when i mount sda2, sda3,sda4
then when i go to /mnt/sda2, /mnt/sda3 and /mnt/sda4, i can see all of my data there!! all the files, all the folders, just as they were..

I can even read the contents of text files (using cat command).. so it seems my data + paritions are there but then why am i facing this terrible issue ? (




also regarding backups, i am sorry i have none , actually this 2tb hdd was itself my storehouse.. rip (i hope not)

Oh i see, thanks for the information.. but i was wondering since i am able to access all the data without issues, using mount, and also diskpart shows all volumes and partitions correctly, isn't there a way to fix this? like it seems hdd has everything in it but somehow it's shown as "bad" due to a bad sector or something :/ will the long generic test help to fix this?

The long generic is an industry standard for testing drive failure for warranty replacement.

To evaluate bad sectors HD Tune or Macrorit are used:

Run HD Tune (free version) (all drives)
HD Tune website
Post images into the thread for results on these tabs:
a) Health
b) Benchmark
c) Full error scan

There are 2 RAW partitions.

RAW means the file system is not readable in its current state.

The RAW partitions are: Disk 0
Partition 2: Recovery
Partition 4: Volume D: 119 GB

I would try to get the data off of the drive first.

Create a Linux Live CD (USB), boot with that, and move everything off to a known good drive.

Since you are able to mount all partitions and see the data, as suggested by OldNavyGuy, create a Live Linux USB stick and try to copy the data to another drive.
Create a bootable USB stick on Windows | Ubuntu
Use Ubuntu Live CD to Backup Files from Your Dead Windows Computer
