USB devices not listed under Ports (COM & LPT) in Device Managerr

USB devices not listed under Ports (COM & LPT) in Device Managerr-device-manager.jpg

My USB devices are only listed under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers/Devices" And the COM port is not assigned to the USB device. I would like to see the devices listed under "Ports (COM & LPT)" Such that a software I use would recognize the COM port under the which the USB device is connected to, such as STM32 STLink. How can I do this please?

My Win10 Pro computers don't have a category of Ports in Device Manager, probably because I have no need for them.

This may or may not help but a Search of the Internet for the model number given brings up a number of pages and this one may be on point:
    STSW-STM32102 - STM32 Virtual COM Port Driver - STMicroelectronics

"OS versions prior to Windows® 7 are compatible with the Windows® 7 installations included in the package.
Starting from Windows® 10, the STSW-STM32102 driver is no more adequate and the usage of the native inbox driver is recommended. "

You can't. They are completely different communication buses. It's like saying "I want my monitor(s) to show up under Network adapters.". That's not how device enumeration works.

Even if you use USB-to-Serial (or Parallel or COM) adapters, they are still enumerated by the USB sub-system first before any 'virtual device' trickery does its data re-directs.
