    HD 1080P Webcam Not Working


    Hello All, I just bought a Full HD 1080P Webcam. When I plug it into a usb port on my desktop PC the power light comes on. When I go to the windows key and select "camera" I get the message "windows can't find your camera". This is supposed to be a plug and play webcam. If I look at the device manager I see the camera, it has 3 items listed with exclimation marks on all three. If I click on the camera icon in device manager and tell it to search for driver updates I get the message that windows has encountered an error and can't install the drivers.
    I am running version 1903 windows 10 home.

    I need this webcam working by middle of next week as I have two video depositions I must make on Wednesday and Thursday.

    Hi, is Windows update working? Look at your Update History.

    Try a manual scan for Windows Updates in Settings.

    If not, then try downloading WUmgr (free) and running that. It can also check for updates and show them asa list with checkboxes for your selection.

    You might also try a driver updater if Windows Update is failing such as DriverMax. Ignore all drivers listed except for anything for your webcam.

    I get the message that windows has encountered an error
    If you see an error message, post a screenshot of it thus:
    HD 1080P Webcam Not Working-screenshot-copy1.pngand the text so it can be copied for search purposes.

    There is no name or model on the box it came in or the instructions.

    If it doesn't show up as a device that can be added then you'll have to find the driver.

    Download Hardware Identify

    Download

    Don't go updating other drivers.

    Go to Device Manager. Can you find the hardware ID as shown below?

    Launch via:

    webcamoid\bin\webcamoid.exe

    Add devices if not detected. Choose recoring format.
