Burning DVDs and CDs with Format Control on Win 10 pro

I am new to Win 10 pro. Version 1909. On Win 7, I used Roxio Creator 7 Premier. It allowed me to select, in detail, the format to use. This is important to me. At least as far as I can see, The default Win 10 pro disk writer does not allow this. If I am mistaken, I would happy to be so informed. Otherwise, what software would you recommend? If it is Roxio, is there any version you would recommend? The versions I see on the web, seem to supply much more that I need.

    Thanks,
    Mike.

PS, If there is a better place to post this, please let me know.

What do you mean by "format" when it comes to burning a CD?

Are you referring to music CDs?

I haven't burned CDs in quite a while, but I used Imgburn at that time. As far as I know, it is compatible with Windows 10.

An example of a format I use is Data Disk ISO + Joliet.
(ISO assumes ISO9660, Joliet allows longer file names.)

I vaguely remember Joliet from my days of burning CDs, but that was 8 or more years ago on Windows 7.

My first suggestion would be to use another burning app. Imgburn was highly regarded at one time. I haven't seen anyone refer to Roxio in at least 10 years, so I don't know its current reputation.

Does Burning Studio have options to set the DVD format? For data DVDs I like ISO+Joliet.

Check out Imgburn I think it supports the format you want but I’m not 100% sure.

    Hi @mdberger,

Believe it or not I'm still using Roxio NXT 2. All I need it to do is burn disks and it does. And I use the CD Maker feature.

Anyway my point is Roxio works on Windows 10. Version number may be an issue. Have you tried to install Creator 7 Premier on Windows 10? If not try it.

If that doesn't work, since you're familiar with Roxio, NZT 2 still works. There are other programs, some free, but some can get technical.
