    Trouble pairing bluetooth device

I have a bluetooth device (JBLFlip5) which I have been pairing to my PC. All of a sudden, it stopped pairing. The Bluetooth app on the computer doesn't even recognise it. Attached is the Bluetooth view in my Device Manager. I'd like to check out my Bluetooth drivers - but don't know which line items to check. Need some troubleshooting advice. Thank you.........

    Nisko,

What do you mean, "I have been pairing"? The normal procedure is to pair once and then just allow automatic reconnections when you turn things on.

There are lots of threads about fixing pairing problems including

Sorry, I should have mentioned that, since I got the JBL Flip 5, every time I use it, I have to Remove Device (even though it's paired), then search for it again and re-connect it. However, I have a friend who purchased a JBL Flip 4 about two years ago and he has the same problem. It's just something I've gotten so used to that I forgot to mention it. I have other Bluetooth devices that work just fine-so I think it's a problem with the JBL.

    Nisko,

Why don't you just turn it off when you don't want to use it?

The link I gave you should enable you to solve the problem anyway.

Thanks - I'm working on the link - will take me some time. Also, turning it off Removes the Device too.

    Nisko,

If turning it off makes it disappear from Control panel, [Hardware & sound,] Devices & printers then it is not behaving as a Bluetooth device should. Tell the maker and ask them how to fix the problem.

FYI: I used System Restore and the JBL Flip 5 now connects. Does that give anyone an idea of what the problem might be? If you do, it might save me from going down a rabbit hole trying to find the problem.
