Lenovo Yoga 12 touchpad not working?

I have a Lenovo Yoga 12 on Windows 10 but the touchpad (including the ‘nipple and the ’ TrackPoint buttons’) doesn’t seem to be working at all?
The touchscreen is working fine, but if I try the touchpad there is no response at all and there is no pointer mouse shown at all?
I have checked and Windows claims that the drivers for the touchpad are up-to-date.
So, am I missing a setting that will enable the touchpad or is it a fault with the touchpad? Any help really appreciated?

Are you also using a standard mouse?

If you remove mouse (usb plugin for wireless) does touchpad work?

    When did this start?

    Thanks.
I've had a look at those instructions from Lenovo it suggests changing the BIOS...but when I press F1 it just boots up to Windows. I've tried it lots of times and it still continues to Windiows,

Any ideas as it's seriously p*ssing me off.!

Thanks. Do you mean removing the touchpad/mouse drivers please?

I got the laptop from ebay (selling ex=company laptops) and the only problems I've found so far is the battery and the touchpad.
    cheers

Read your manual, it is F1.

So power off, power on and start to tap F1 every couple of seconds.

When I meant mouse I mean a traditional mouse. Wired ones you unplug. Wireless ones you remove the little dongle plugged into USB port

EDIT: Looked up manual, F1 is Setup key

Now I get it! I've used a mouse and it works fine, just the inbuilt touchpad isn't working.

I've tried the suggested options and it's still not allowing me into the BIOS.
I've taken a video of it starting up at boot and it says "Press <F1> to BIOS startup." so it looks as though F1 should get me to it.

    Cheers

Okay, so mouse is not connected, right.

The reason I ask. Windows 10 can have a setting that when a mouse is present it disables touchpad.

Try pressing F1 before you see that message.

Also try holding FN key down, usually lower left section of keyboard, and then tapping F1

I assume you are booting UEFI. This alternate method may work.

Hold shift key down, click restart. It will reboot.

Advance Startup Options should come up.

Troubleshoot > Advance Options > UEFI Firmware

Boot to Advanced Startup Options in Windows 10

I’ve finally got to the BIOS screen up but there is no specific setting that could control the touchpad not being on .
As you suggested when using the mouse pressing F1….sadly no change.

When I look at the link in xsteveuk, the Lenovo video shows there are specific Windows 10 options for Lenovo which aren’t visible on my laptop after a fresh Windows installation.
Could the missing Lenovo specific options needed to get the touchpad working? How to I make Windows have the Lenovo specific setting?

    Does this work for you

To open the touchpad settings in Windows 10, type touchpad in the search box, and then click on Touchpad settings - to open the settings
