    Hello @Ben Daniels,

Can you please perform the following [ this checks for ANY Problem Device Errors ] . . .

[1] Goto this TenForums link => Batch Scripts / Programs.
[2] Goto the heading Find ANY Problem Devices . . .
[3] Download and Run the .bat file.

If there are ANY Problem Device Errors it will create a Prob_Devices.txt file on the Desktop!

[4] Upload the results [ if any ] => How to Upload and Post Screenshots and Files at Ten Forums.

    I hope this helps!

I have to say, I've seen a lot of posts on printing issues with Brother Printers over the past year. Are they not updating their drivers?

As for suggestions, none at this time

The Brother printers was due to a WU which that has now been resolved!

The update problem has affected Brother, Canon, Panasonic and Ricoh printers [seen in print on the 'net] but I had a client with the same issue just last Thursday with an HP OfficeJet. Seems to be an issue with USB. As mentioned there was an update that fixes it.

I've found my Brother Printer forgets it's plugged in. It did it with my Macs and now on PCs. So on the rare occasions I print something I unplug and replug the USB and that 'awakens' things.

The usual fix is to uninstall the relevant printer software and reinstall the latest version
