Hidden used space on driver

    Hidden used space on driver


    I downloaded 15 GB of files to empty Driver and deleted it days after.
    My Driver says there is still 15 GB of used space, while there's no visible or hidden files. But I used Recuva to reach those files and try to overwrite them, expect it didn't do anything.

    I'm sorry if there's similar thread as mine, but I cannot find them for some reason.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Is 'The Drive' on an internal disk, an external backup drive, a USB thumb drive, or other?

    Does The Drive (Letter) take up the entire disk or volume, or is it one partition of many on a single disk or thumb drive?

    Do you have any other data on this Drive that you would want to keep?

    I figured out what have I done, but my example wouldn't help anyone and I'd be ashamed to type it here as because it was quite noobish, so I'm marking as solved.

Yesterday, I inserted a flash drive on my PC and it was loaded with trojans. I managed to clear them with Kaspersky but after that I noticed that all the hidden files in my C drive have turned Un-hidden. (Including desktop.ini's)
