0xa00F4244 then "device had a problem starting"

After uninstalling and letting the driver update, checking the setting to allow all camera use with micro soft store apps and third party apps, and resetting the camera app the camera light only blinks and appears to be continually trying to start. Found the following under the events for the driver:

Device USB\VID_0C45&PID_670B&MI_00\7&21b06cb5&0&0000 had a problem starting.

Any ideas please? very frustrating. Was working for a short period of time a couple of days ago after a reinstall of drivers and resetting the camera app. Windows version is 1903 and says it is up to date.

0xc0000182 = The I/O device is configured incorrectly or the configuration parameters to the driver are incorrect

See if you can look up the vid and pid to see whether there is a better driver.

The vid is Microdia and their site doesn't recognize the pid. They don't list a driver when I use their driver update tool. I searched the Dell board and there were a huge number of complaints about the cameras not working at time of Window 10 release. I never use the camera after the 10 upgrade so I missed it all. I remember now doing a clean install of window 7 and having a devil of a time getting a driver for the camera. The driver listed on the support page didn't work, I found one on a board somewhere. Reading the Dell forum, some gave up and bought an external camera which is what I'm going to do. Thanks for your effort.
