Yep Marathon M705. Seems a good general purpose mouse. Definitely not gaming.
That's the one I have and I AutoCAD with it just fine - but I don't CAD exclusively or in high intensity/volume.

I use it in Photoshop. Works fine except the middle mouse button is so awkward that I've remapped the left scroll to middle mouse.

As mentioned in my OP, this is strictly for work, not for gaming. I have just bought a wired Glaive Pro for that.

So I didn't mention it in the post because I thought my profile would've made it obvious (and the fact that I mention Intl shipping) but, convert all prices in CAD$. That G305 maybe 43 euros (on sale), it's 90 CAD$ for me. The same price as the cheapest MX Master, a first gen one (which has really weirdly placed side buttons for some reason). The 2s and 3 are 130 CAD$, same price as the Surface and CadMouse.

The M510 was one I was looking at. 50 CAD$, 30 on sale. Looks fine enough. Also the MX Anywhere 2S for 60 CAD$. As for the M705, that's actually one I've had before and had issues with (intermittent lag issues and scroll, not a battery issue).

Man it really does seem I wont get out of less than 60$.
Both prices, for M510 and MX Anywhere are great deals. MX Anywhere is a great mouse, if you don't have large hands... As it's meant to be portable.

I could be wrong but I don't think many gamers use wireless mice.
Pro gamers do not, because every ms counts, but as for commoners, it is fine.
I use M705 for gaming and I never had issues in games like Hitman or Call of Duty.

Yep. Except when their logo wears off.

Welp, I went with the Anywhere. Still came out to almost 70 with taxes. I'll also admit I almost went with an out of left field choice, a Kodak Q10. I didn't take it because even though it's less than 40$, taxes and shipping brought it to almost the same price as the MX.

As for the size, I'm actually one of those weirdos who actually enjoys those super tiny pocket mice, like the Targus Compact.

Anyways, if it wasn't for the fact that those 3D mice were expensive as hell, I probably wouldn't have had such a hard time making a choice.

This was true years ago Now, wire could cause some problems too

From wirecutter - best wireless gaming mouse:

For years, wireless wasn’t a good option on gaming mice because of latency or lag. Nowadays, we’ve found good wireless gaming mice come with their own wireless dongles that support higher polling rates than Bluetooth or non-gaming wireless mice. If wireless is good enough for Overwatch pros, it’s plenty good for the rest of us.

We can go head to head and you can show me your "pro gamer" moves with your M705

    Only "commoners" worry about logos

@fenrir0wulf, I also have the MX Anywhere 2S I use with my laptop. It's basically a mini MX 2S.
