Hi, since updating to the 2004 version of W 10, my Bluetooth has gone on the blink......I have uninstalled it, then re-installed, still won't work.....unpaired my phone, now it won't even re -pair...I know it's not the phone as it works on other laptop....any suggestions ?

You laptop -Inspiron 1545- could be as old as 2004... if so, there is absolutely no guarantee whatsoever that even if one build of Win 10 works the next will not give you a headache.
You can try comparing the version of the driver with that you last used successfully, or that of the last one available for your laptop.
I should have said, this is on the Toshiba Sattelite laptop.....newer than the Dell......also BOTH devices are Bluetooth enabled, and discoverable.....it just won't work.....

Try using the latest driver available from your manufacturer. It might be different to the one delivered by MS.
Also - as you know the unstated model of your Satellite- try searching for e.g.
Satellite xxxxxx 2004 bluetooth problem
where xxxxxx = model number to see if others report a problem.
Are you using Realtek? See the link I posted.
